The construction industry is ultimately about people, and the work we do becomes part of the communities around us for years to come. The infrastructure we help create contributes to the places where families live, work, and gather. Building something that outlasts us means investing our time and resources into the community even after the job is done.
This past Saturday, Forcine sponsored and participated in the inaugural Silvi Foundation Touch-A-Truck fundraiser at Warwick Farm Brewing. More than 1,000 people came out for the event, which raised over $30,000 to support the Silvi Foundation’s work advancing research and care related to Alzheimer’s, dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
We brought one of our concrete pump trucks so children and their families could get up close, explore the equipment, and learn a little about the work behind the buildings they see every day. Forcine team members Valery, Hank, and John were there to answer questions, explain how the pump truck works, and hand out kid-friendly Forcine gear.
The event brought families, local businesses, and industry partners together around a virtuous cause, giving us the opportunity to contribute to the community around us in a way that felt personal and true to who we are – face to face connection.
Turnout was great, the weather was perfect, and we’re proud to have been involved with supporting an important cause. We’re grateful to the Silvi Foundation for organizing the event and honored that Forcine could be part of it.
